The addition of “The Lake House” to the horror Alan Wake 2 from the Finnish studio Remedy Entertainment will be part of tomorrow’s Xbox Partner Preview presentation, but the main surprise of the premiere seems to have been spoiled.
As Reddit forum users noted, Australian and New Zealand retailers JB Hi-Fi and EB Games posted information about the release date of The Lake House on the pre-order pages for the retail edition of Alan Wake 2.
«Please be aware that due to the international nature of Alan Wake 2: Deluxe Edition, the on-disc DLC [The] Lake House will not unlock until midnight on October 22, 2024,” warns EB Games.
Thus, The Lake House addon for Alan Wake 2 will go on sale in less than a week – October 22. The September DLC teaser trailer (attached below) spoke about the release of the expansion in the penultimate month of autumn.
Apparently, the official announcement of the release date will be made during the gameplay show of The Lake House as part of the Xbox Partner Preview. The presentation starts on October 17 at 20:00 Moscow time.
Let us remind you that in The Lake House, players will take on the role of Kiran Estevez, an agent of the Federal Bureau of Control (FBK) from Control. The heroine will have to investigate the events at the secret FBK research station near Lake Cauldron.
Alan Wake II was released on October 27, 2023 on PC (EGS), PS5, Xbox Series X and S. The game earned high ratings and pleased Remedy with sales. The first addition to the project, Night Springs, was released in June.
