Oppo has officially introduced the mid-price smartphone Oppo K12 Plus. It will be available in several configurations with different amounts of RAM and internal storage. As for the price, the retail price of the new product starts at $270.
The developers equipped the Oppo K12 Plus with a 6.7-inch AMOLED display supporting Full HD+ resolution and a refresh rate of 120 Hz. The panel used provides a peak brightness of 1100 cd/m². The fingerprint scanner is integrated into the screen area. The smartphone case protects internal components from moisture and dust according to the IP54 standard.
At the top of the screen there is a hole in which a 16-megapixel front camera (f/2.4) is installed. The dual main camera is located on the back of the case. It combines a 1/1.95-inch 50-megapixel (f/1.8) sensor with support for optical image stabilization and phase detection autofocus (PDAF) with an 8-megapixel (f/2.2) ultra-wide-angle sensor with a 112º field of view. It supports shooting 4K video at speeds up to 30 frames per second, as well as 1080p at speeds up to 120 frames per second.
The Oppo K12 Plus is powered by an eight-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 microprocessor (one Cortex-A715 core with a frequency of up to 2.63 GHz, four Cortex-A715 cores with a frequency of up to 2.4 GHz and three Cortex-A510 cores with a frequency of up to 1 .8 GHz). An Adreno 720 accelerator is provided for graphics processing. Buyers will be able to choose between versions of the device with 8 or 12 GB of RAM and a 256 or 512 GB drive. If necessary, data storage space can be increased using a microSD memory card.
Oppo K12 Plus is powered by a 6400 mAh battery with support for fast wired charging up to 80 W and reverse wire charging up to 10 W. According to the manufacturer, the process of charging the battery from 0 to 50% takes 20 minutes. The cooling system includes an evaporation chamber with an area of 4129 mm². The design includes two speakers, an NFC chip, and supports operation in fifth generation communication networks (5G).
The new product runs Android 14 with the proprietary ColorOS 14 user interface. The smartphone will be available in white and black body colors. Oppo K12 Plus with 8 GB RAM and 256 GB ROM will retail for $270, for the version with 12 GB RAM and 256 GB ROM you will have to pay $300, and the model with 12 GB RAM and 512 GB ROM will cost $355.
