Meta✴ has begun testing new AI tools for creating video ads on the Facebook✴ and Instagram✴ platforms. These tools allow you to animate static images and expand the video background by generating additional pixels. This opens up new horizons for advertisers, making it easier to create dynamic and visually appealing advertising content. The mass launch of new AI tools is planned for early 2025.
One of the key innovations was an AI tool that turns a static image into an animated one. In the demo, a static image was converted into an animated image of berries moving around a jar.
Another important innovation is the ability to increase the size of existing videos. The AI is able to fill in missing pixels on each frame, expanding the image as if the original video was larger in the first place. This process is reminiscent of working with images in graphic editors, where you can expand the background of the image by automatically generating additional details.
Meta✴ plans to introduce these innovations to a wider audience early next year. The tools will allow advertisers to easily and quickly create dynamic ads with minimal effort. They will also complement existing AI tools that generate text and images to create advertisements. Ads created using these tools will appear in the new full-screen video tab coming to Facebook✴.
It should be noted that Meta✴ is not the only company actively using AI to create advertising content. For example, Amazon recently unveiled an AI tool that can create video clips from product images, and TikTok is experimenting with using AI-generated avatars in advertising campaigns.
