Lian Li has introduced the Lancool 207 ventilated Mid-Tower case. The dimensions of the new product are rather typical for building systems based on Micro-ATX format boards, but the inside of the case is spacious enough to install regular ATX size boards.
To achieve this, Lian Li’s designers made the bottom half of the case lower except for the space at the front, which has a compartment for a standard-sized power supply.
The motherboard tray is slightly recessed compared to the section at the front of the case that serves as cable management space, limiting the width of an ATX motherboard to 244mm. The dimensions of Lancool 207 are 450 × 455.6 × 219 mm. The internal volume of the case is about 45.5 liters, which makes it quite compact compared to other ATX cases.
Despite its size, Lancool 207 offers enough freedom to install powerful components. For example, it supports graphics cards up to 375mm in length. A liquid coolant radiator with a 25 mm thick fan usually “eats” 55 mm of space, but in this case there is still about 320 mm of space left for the video card.
The manufacturer has provided two pre-installed 140 mm fans with RGB lighting behind the front panel. The case also allows for three 120mm or two 140mm fans on the top, two 120mm fans on the partition separating the top and bottom compartments, and one 120mm fan on the rear wall.
The manufacturer did not disclose the cost of Lancool 207. The new product will be available in black and white versions.
