Although there is still a week left before the release of the remake of the cult psychological horror game Silent Hill 2 from Konami and the Polish studio Bloober Team, some users have already gained access to the hotly anticipated game.
As noted by the Eurogamer portal, some retail stores ahead of time began sending out disc versions of Silent Hill 2 (that’s what the remake is called) to consumers who pre-ordered them.
Several users of the Reddit forum and other social networks reported that they had already received discs with Silent Hill 2 for PS5. The box includes a double-sided cover and media with the words “There Was a Hole Here. Now she’s gone.”
In addition to photos of the packaging, screenshots and gameplay videos (some for several hours) of the remake of Silent Hill 2 began to appear in the public domain, so players interested in the project should be wary of spoilers.
Although more than 20 years have passed since the release of the original Silent Hill 2, the updated version of the cult horror contains additional content and surprises – the remake will be twice as long as the original source (16-18 hours).
The first players to play praise the oppressive atmosphere and high-quality graphics on PS5, and also call the remake a successful project overall. Early owners of copies are in no hurry to clarify the question that torments fans about the pizza scene.
Silent Hill 2 will be released on October 8 on PC (Steam) and PS5, but owners of the enhanced edition will have access two days earlier. In the story, James Sunderland arrives in Silent Hill because of a letter he received from his now deceased wife Mary.
