Developers from Larian Studios announced the expansion of the platform geography of the large-scale seventh patch for the fantasy role-playing game Baldur’s Gate 3, as well as the release of a new patch for the project.
Let us remind you that on PC a large-scale update debuted on September 5 and brought with it, among other things, official support for mods, expansion of “evil” endings and almost a thousand other changes.
As Larian reports, since the premiere of the patch, users have downloaded more than a thousand of their own modifications and downloaded more than 15 million of others. They decided to celebrate this event with an animated short film, Modding Mayhem, about the chaos of mods.
As for the expansion of the geography of the seventh patch, on October 1 the update reached Mac, PS5, Xbox Series X and S. Only 69 mods from the variety available on PC are currently available on these platforms, but the list will expand.
The seventh patch on consoles and Mac was released complete with two patches: #26 (available on PC from September 19) and new for all platforms #27 (see changelog), which included fixes to the mod manager and other improvements.
In its latest message to players, Larian Studios once again reminded that the seventh major patch will not be the last for Baldur’s Gate 3. In the future, the game will still feature cross-play and a photo mode.
Baldur’s Gate 3 left early access on August 3, 2023 on PC (Steam, GOG), and subsequently reached Mac, PS5, Xbox Series X and S. The project has earned more than 200 awards in the Game of the Year category, including the Hugo Award “
