Intel, according to HPC Wire, is optimizing its latest 6th generation Xeon Granite Rapids server processors specifically for systems that use NVIDIA AI accelerators. Thus, Intel expects to increase sales and improve its financial position.
Ronak Singhal, a senior researcher at Intel, spoke about the new initiative. According to him, NVIDIA is a leader in the AI accelerator market, so Intel works closely with this company. The goal is to provide customers deploying NVIDIA MGX or HGX-based systems with a full range of Xeon processors certified to run on those platforms. “This is just the beginning of the collaboration we will have with NVIDIA over the next year,” Singhal said.
