During the presentation held the day before at the Meta✴ Connect event, the company demonstrated several innovative developments, some of which looked unconventional and sometimes even creepy. For example, a conversation took place with a virtual copy of a person while this person himself was standing nearby.
At some point during the presentation, Meta✴ CEO Mark Zuckerberg invited artificial intelligence artist Don Allen Stevenson III to the stage. When he came out, Zuckerberg picked up the phone and made a video call, and his interlocutor was an AI-created digital version of Stevenson – while the real Stevenson stood on stage between Mark and his own clone on the big screen.
This was a demonstration of the new capabilities of the AI Studio platform for developing custom chatbots. Her company presented it to American bloggers back in July, and at that time it only worked with text. The day before it became clear that bloggers can now create virtual versions of themselves. “If you receive a ton of personal messages and don’t have time to respond, Creator AI answers many frequently asked questions for me. This saves time. I can go outside and take a break,” Stevenson said about how he uses the platform.
At the same presentation, Meta✴ showed chatbots voiced by Awkwafina, Judi Dench, John Cena, Keegan-Michael Key and Kristen Bell.
