“We want Bloodborne”: fans met the official trailer of Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered with dislikes and misunderstanding

Following a leak from the ESRB rating agency as part of the September State of Play broadcast, publisher Sony Interactive Entertainment has officially confirmed Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered, an updated version of the post-apocalyptic open-world action game Horizon Zero Dawn from Guerrilla Games for PC and PS5.

They promise numerous graphical improvements (animations, lighting, textures, models, rendering), more than 10 hours of re-recorded dialogue, support for 3D audio and DualSense controller features, additional accessibility settings and compatibility with saves from the original game.

The PS5 version of Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered will be compatible with the upcoming PS5 Pro, and on PC, Nixxes will support ultra-wide monitors, Nvidia DLSS 3 and AMD FSR 3.1. The PC edition will also receive a PlayStation overlay and will require linking a PlayStation Network account.

The two-minute announcement trailer for Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered was greeted by viewers with dislikes (more than 18 thousand already) and a lack of understanding why a game that works great on PC and PS5 needs an updated version when there are more worthy projects for an upgrade. “We want Bloodborne,” user Hokkv hinted to Sony.

Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered will go on sale on October 31 for PC (Steam, EGS) and PS5 for $50. Pre-orders will open on October 3. Owners of the original game on PC and PS4 (free copies from the 2021 distribution also count) will have access to a paid ($10) upgrade to the new version.
