Ugreen has announced the NASync family of network storage devices on the Intel hardware platform. The series includes six models in a desktop form factor – DXP2800, DXP4800, DXP4800 Plus, DXP6800 Pro, DXP8800 Plus and DXP480T Plus. All of them run on Ugreen’s proprietary UGOS Pro OS, which is said to offer an intuitive user interface.
All devices (except for DXP480T Plus) have a hybrid configuration: they allow installation of LFF HDD with SATA-3 interface and M.2 NVMe SSD M.2. The compact version of the DXP480T Plus is designed exclusively for SSD.
The DXP2800 and DXP4800 models have two and four HDD bays, respectively, as well as two M.2 connectors. The equipment includes an Intel Processor N100 chip (Alder Lake-N), 8 GB DDR5 expandable up to 16 GB and an eMMC flash module with a capacity of 32 GB. The younger version received one 2.5GbE port, the four-bay model received two. In addition, there is an HDMI interface (4K), one USB 3.0 port (5Gbps), USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-A and USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-C (both 10Gbps), two USB 2.0 Type-A ports.
The DXP4800 Plus device, in turn, carries an Intel Pentium Gold 8505 processor (Alder Lake), 8 GB of RAM expandable up to 64 GB and a system SSD with a capacity of 128 GB. Installation of four HDDs and two SSDs is allowed. There is one 2.5GbE and 10GbE network port. Otherwise, the set of interfaces is identical to previous models.
The DXP6800 Pro and DXP8800 Plus options are designed for six and eight HDDs, as well as two SSDs, respectively. These NAS are equipped with an Intel Core i5-1235U chip (Alder Lake), 8 GB RAM (expandable up to 64 GB), a 128 GB system SSD, two 10GbE ports, two Thunderbolt 4 interfaces (40Gbps, Type-C), and two ports USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-A (10Gbps), two USB 2.0 Type-A connectors and an HDMI interface with support for 8K video.
Finally, the DXP480T Plus model received four M.2 connectors for drives. It is equipped with a Core i5-1235U processor, 8 GB of RAM (maximum 64 GB), 128 GB system SSD, one 10GbE port, two Thunderbolt 4 interfaces (40Gbps, Type-C), one USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-A port (10Gbps) and an HDMI port (8K).
The cost of new products varies from $400 to $1500 without installed drives.
