Transcend introduced industrial SSD MTE730P format M.2 22110 with PCIe 4.0 x4 interface

Transcend Information has announced the MTE730P family of SSDs, its first M.2 22110 SSDs with PCIe 4.0 x4 (NVMe 1.4) interface, designed for industrial and commercial applications. The products can be used in blade servers, data storage systems, industrial automation devices, etc.

The new products are based on 112-layer 3D NAND flash memory chips and an 8-channel controller. The declared speed of sequential reading of information reaches 7500 MB/s, the speed of sequential writing is 6700 MB/s. The capacity is 512 GB, as well as 1, 2 and 4 TB. The drives are equipped with a DRAM buffer.

IOPS for random reading and writing is up to 540 thousand and 440 thousand, respectively. The maximum power consumption in operating mode is 6.2 W, in idle mode – 0.8 W. The MTBF (mean time between failures) reaches 3 million hours. The products are designed to withstand 1.35 complete writes per day (DWPD) for three years.

Implemented power loss protection (PLP). The operating temperature range extends from -40 to +85 °C. Dimensions – 110x22x3.88 mm, weight – 11 g. The main components of the products are reinforced with corner filling: the technology involves applying liquid sealant or acrylic glue with a small gap to ensure thermal expansion. 30 micron thick gold plating is used to improve conductivity and protect the printed circuit board from oxidation, abrasion and chemical attack. SSDs of the MTE730P family are provided with a three-year warranty.
