The announcement of the next monthly selection of games for subscribers of the basic PlayStation Plus subscription rate, which became part of the September State of Play broadcast, pleased users for the first time in a long time.
As it became known, the headliner of the October selection will be the space horror Dead Space from Electronic Arts and developers from Motive Studio – a remake for PS5 of the 2008 game of the same name from Visceral Games.
In addition to the Dead Space remake, PS Plus subscribers will receive two projects for PS4 and PS5 in October – a visual novel in the psychological horror genre Doki Doki Literature Club Plus! and the latest wrestling simulator, WWE 2K24.
Unlike the last three months, the announcement of the new PS Plus selection did not cause user indignation, quite the contrary. “The end of the world is near, the games are excellent,” predicts paralel_grafit in the comments under the announcement.
The giveaway will begin on October 1st and will last until November 4th. Add Dead Space, Doki Doki Literature Club Plus! and WWE 2K24 will be available to PS Plus Essential, Extra and Premium (Deluxe) subscribers.
In addition, on September 26 – The Last of Us Day – the PS Plus Extra and Premium library will be replenished with the adventure action game The Last of Us Part I for PS5, which is a remake of the original The Last of Us.
Finally, Dino Crisis and Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain will be joining the catalog of PS Plus classics (Premium subscribers only) in the near future. The collection Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver 1 & 2 Remastered was also announced at State of Play.
