The Chinese publication ITHome once again recalled that motherboards based on AMD X870 and X870E chipsets will be available for sale starting September 30. Let us remind you that the new Ryzen 9000 processors can also work on AMD 600 series motherboards. New models based on AMD 800 series chipsets offer support for faster RAM modules, and are also equipped with Wi-Fi 7 support and additional PCIe lanes. It is expected that the first reviews of AMD 800 series motherboards will appear on the day sales start, that is, September 30. Models of boards based on AMD B850 and B840 chipsets are expected later.

AMD itself has not yet officially confirmed the start date for sales of motherboards based on the X870 and X870E chipsets, but ITHome reports that the main board manufacturers have already added their solutions to the catalogs of the online trading platform JD.com, also indicating their prices.

According to the VideoCardz portal, in general, the cost of new boards when converted from yuan to dollars is 10–20% higher (excluding VAT) compared to current board models based on the X670 and X670 chipsets. For example, at ASRock the cost of new boards varies from $256 for the basic X870 Pro RS WIFI to $526 for the flagship X870E Taichi. MSI exhibited three models, ranging in price from $256 for the PRO X870-P WIFI to $427 for the MPG X870E Carbon WIFI model.

Gigabyte has prepared 11 boards at once. Prices start at $256 for the X870 Eagle WIFI7 model and reach $610 for the pre-flagship X870E Aorus Master model. The cost of the flagship X870E Aorus Xtreme AI TOP is still unknown. Finally, Asus will release 8 boards costing from $256 for the PRIME X870-P model and up to $583 for the ROG Crosshair X870E Hero.
