DreamSmart held a presentation of a number of smart devices under the Meizu brand, including Meizu StarV Air 2 and StarV View augmented reality glasses.
Meizu StarV Air 2 glasses weighing only 44 g are equipped with an optical waveguide display. It is also possible to install corrective lenses upon customer request. The glasses have the proprietary StarVision visualization system developed by Meizu. The system supports displaying data in green color with a brightness of up to 2000 cd/m2.
The device has a number of AI-powered features, including real-time conversation translation into 13 languages, smart flash memory, voice assistant and AR navigation.
Meizu StarV Air 2 is available for pre-order in yellow and brown colors for 2799 yuan (about $398). In the future, the cost of the new product will be 2999 yuan (about $427). The start of sales of Meizu StarV Air 2 is scheduled for October 8.
AR StarV View smart glasses feature MicroOLED displays with a resolution of 1920 × 1080 pixels each, a refresh rate of 120 Hz and a brightness of 700 cd/m2. Supports 10 levels of brightness settings and 3 color modes. The displays provide 108 percent coverage of the sRGB color space.
The glasses use BirdBath technology to create a 188-inch diagonal virtual screen at a distance of 6 m. According to the company, the device is ideal for use in a variety of scenarios such as airplanes, high-speed trains, subways, cars and campsites.
For users with myopia, StarV View smart glasses support adjustment from 0 to 600 degrees for the left and right eyes, respectively, without the need to install special lenses. Meizu StarV View price is $399.
