Sony has released the collection Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver 1 & 2 Remastered on PSN – trailer, screenshots and release date

The rumored collection Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver 1 & 2 Remastered could not please fans with an announcement for the 25th anniversary of the first part, but it seems that it will be part of tomorrow’s State of Play episode – re-releases have appeared in the PS Store.

As noted by users of the ResetEra forum, the trailer, screenshots, release date and description of Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver 1 & 2 Remastered appeared ahead of time in the PlayStation digital store, but are already hidden from prying eyes.

The players, however, did not waste any time and managed to save all available materials on Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver 1 & 2 Remastered, including the one and a half minute announcement trailer (attached below).

Judging by the video, re-releases of the Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver duology are being created by the Aspyr Media studio with the participation of the owners of the rights to the franchise from Crystal Dynamics (both companies belong to the Embracer Group).

According to the leak, Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver 1 & 2 Remastered will go on sale on December 10 this year at least for PS4 and PS5. As expected, the release of the collection is timed to coincide with the 25th anniversary of the original Soul Reaver.

«Celebrate Soul Reaver’s 25th Anniversary. Relive the epic conflict between Kain and Raziel in its original form or with updated graphics,” reads the description of Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver 1 & 2 Remastered.

Apparently, the official announcement of Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver 1 & 2 Remastered will take place as part of the State of Play presentation, which will begin on September 25 at 1:00 Moscow time. They promise more than half an hour of news about games for PS5 and PS VR2.
