Prices for Intel Arrow Lake desktop processors revealed

Canadian retail store shopRBC has published prices on its website for five processors from the Intel Arrow Lake family. The cost of the top-of-the-line Core Ultra 9 285K chip was 852 Canadian dollars, which corresponds to 630 US dollars. This is consistent with another leak.

Earlier, the prices of Intel Arrow Lake processors were briefly published by the British retailer LambdaTek. The senior model in the line, Intel Core Ultra 9 285K, according to his version, will cost £471.83 ($630.64); Canadian store shopRBC priced the processor at 852 Canadian dollars ($630.6). The recommended retail price of the current flagship Intel Core i9-14900K at the start of sales was $589 – perhaps the top of the line Core Ultra 9 285K with an official release in the USA will cost the same.

If you believe unofficial information, the Intel Core Ultra 9 285K, like its predecessor, has eight productive and 16 efficient cores on board. But gamers will likely opt for the more modest Core Ultra 5 245K, which shopRBC has a price tag of C$450 ($333.06). The chip boasts six P-cores with a base clock of 4.2 GHz and a peak clock of 5.0 GHz, as well as eight E-cores with a base clock of 3.6 GHz and 4.6 GHz in turbo mode – the optimal balance of performance and prices.

By now, quite a lot is known about Intel Arrow Lake processors from unofficial sources. They will use the same Lion Cove P and Skymont E cores as the Lunar Lake chips, but with an uncore configuration focused on high performance rather than maximum efficiency like mobile processors. Arrow Lake chips will have a more modest graphics subsystem, but an equally powerful NPU (artificial intelligence accelerator) is expected.
