A week and a half has passed since the release of Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2, and players have accumulated many questions and suggestions for improving the shooter. Publisher Focus Entertainment has highlighted the most popular queries in a new publication.

The main priority of the team from Saber Interactive remains improving the stability of the servers – a major patch with improvements in this aspect and new content is expected “soon” (they promised until the end of September).

They plan to make the allied AI more active in boss battles (in a future patch – and in other situations), as well as adjust the “Veteran” difficulty, on which in “solo” some sections turned out to be too difficult due to bots.

Some player suggestions have already been reflected in the development schedule (image source: Focus Entertainment)

They also promise additional colors for helmet lenses (in the next big patch), new melee weapons, a pyroblaster in PvE/PvP, customization of your character’s facial features and expanded customization options for Chaos Space Marines.

At the discussion stage are adjustments to the field of view, new classes and the option to customize the AI of allies. Customizing the battle barge and the Thunderhawk is not a priority for the developers right now.

What else became known from the developers’ responses:

  • In normal matchmaking, there are no plans to remove class restrictions for squad members in PvE mode, except perhaps in private lobbies (in the future);
  • A squad in PvE mode must include space marines of different classes, while in PvP the restriction is more lenient – a maximum of two players of the same class per team;
  • The authors admitted that some types of weapons are not strong enough, while opponents at high difficulty levels are too strong;
  • The creators want to add custom PvP lobbies with the ability to configure different match parameters;
  • Will add team balancing after matches;
  • Will change spawn locations after death to avoid unfair situations and introduce post-spawn protection.

Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 was released on September 9 on PC (Steam, EGS), PS5, Xbox Series X and S. A day after the official release, total sales of the game on all platforms exceeded 2 million copies.
