For the second week in a row, the Steam sales chart is dominated by the action thriller Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2, but the rest of the top 10 has changed noticeably.
Thanks to the festival of planes, trains and cars, three racing games returned to the top ten. Forza Horizon 4 and Forza Horizon 5, which offer 80% and 50% cheaper prices, soared to fifth and tenth place respectively. Having received an absurdly large 98% discount (the game is sold for $1), The Crew 2 became eighth and updated the personal online record (55,907 users). Last week, Ubisoft announced that an offline mode will be added to the race – this will allow you to maintain access to the single-player campaign even after the servers are turned off.
Other events on the chart:
- After leaving early access, the factory construction simulator Satisfactory returned to the chart, taking sixth position, and set a new online record of its own (186,158 people);
- A 20 percent discount helped the director’s cut of Ghost of Tsushima rise from 71st to seventh place;
- The best new product (not counting Satisfactory) is the collection Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics from Capcom, which reached number 12, received “very positive” reviews (89% based on 819 reviews) and peaked at 6,072 users;
- The role-playing action game Final Fantasy XVI debuted in 17th position – the former PlayStation 5 exclusive has “mostly positive” reviews (77% based on 153 reviews) and 16,355 people at its peak;
- Two more former Sony exclusives, The Last of Us Part I and God of War, were in 11th and 13th places thanks to a 40 and 60 percent discount, respectively;
- With the start of extended access as part of pre-order, the city-building strategy with elements of the survival simulator Frostpunk 2 started from 27th place (official premiere – September 20);
- Other new products include a remaster of the zombie slasher Lollipop Chainsaw (ranked 34th), the Realm of Frost and Inkwash add-on to the roglite shooter adventure Gunfire Reborn (ranked 36th), an adventure about Baba Yaga’s student Reka (ranked 50th), and a racing arcade game Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown (59th), action-puzzle Pico Park 2 (71st), RPG Dragon Quest Monsters: The Dark Prince (66th), culinary RPG Chef RPG (74th) and simulation card game store TCG Card Shop Simulator (76th).
