Seagate has introduced the PlayStation Game Drive External SSD, certified for use with PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 game consoles.
The new product is available in two volume options – 1 and 2 TB. The SSD uses a high-speed USB 3.2 Type-C interface for connection. The device is supplied with an adapter from USB-C to USB-A, as well as a cable from USB-C to USB-C.
The company notes that the snow-white appearance of the drive complements the design of the PS5 game console. In addition, the new product is equipped with a proprietary blue backlight, which is also available on the console.
The dimensions of the PlayStation Game Drive External SSD are 11 × 50 × 96 mm, and the weight is only 66 grams.
The manufacturer provides a three-year warranty for the presented new product. The PlayStation Game Drive External SSD is already on sale. The 1 TB version costs $129.99, and the 2 TB version is priced at $219.99. When purchasing an SSD, customers will be offered a gift of two weeks of free subscription to PlayStation Plus Premium/Deluxe services.
