Samsung has introduced the budget smartphone Galaxy F05, similar in design and technical characteristics to the recently announced Galaxy M05.
The Galaxy F05 smartphone, like the Galaxy M05, is built on a 12nm eight-core MediaTek Helio G85 processor with an ARM Mali-G52 MP2 graphics accelerator. The new product is equipped with 4 GB of LPDDR4X RAM with support for virtual expansion up to 8 GB using RAM Plus technology. The capacity of the eMMC 5.1 flash drive is 64 GB and can be increased by 1 TB using a microSD memory card.
Galaxy F05 received a large 6.7-inch IPS display with HD+ resolution (1600 × 720 pixels) and a refresh rate of 60 Hz. In its upper part, in a drop-shaped cutout, there is a front-facing 8-megapixel camera with an f/2.0 aperture. On the back panel there is the same as the Galaxy M05, the main 50-megapixel camera (f/1.8), complemented by a 2-megapixel depth sensor (f/2.4).
The 5000 mAh battery supports 25 W fast wired charging. To unlock the device, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner is used, as well as Face Unlock. Wireless communication is provided by Wi-Fi 802.11 ac and Bluetooth 5.3 adapters. The specifications also include a GPS receiver, a USB Type-C port and a 3.5 mm audio jack for connecting headphones.
The dimensions of the smartphone body are 168.8 × 78.2 × 8.8 mm, weight – 195 g, color – dark blue (Twilight Blue). The back panel is decorated with a leather pattern. The device comes with Android 14 OS with One UI Core 6.0 out of the box. Samsung promises to provide operating system updates for two generations, as well as security updates for four years.
Samsung Galaxy F05 will go on sale on September 20 for $95.
