“I refuse to believe that this is CS2”: the modder amazed the players by turning Counter-Strike 2 into Jetpack Joyride

The mobile hit Jetpack Joyride, released in 2011, formed the basis of an unusual custom map for Valve’s shareware competitive shooter Counter-Strike 2.

Lillykyu’s Jetpack Joychicken mode features the same gameplay from Jetpack Joyride: the user must fly through an endless corridor, dodging lasers and missiles, in an attempt to earn as many points as possible.

In the world of Counter-Strike 2, the role of Barry Steakfries went to an ordinary chicken, while the functions of an experimental jetpack equipped with machine guns are performed by a standard machine gun (Negev).

As the Jetpack Joychicken gameplay trailer demonstrates, as you move through the endless corridor, the speed and complexity of the gameplay gradually increases, requiring ever faster reflexes and decisions.

For obvious reasons, Jetpack Joychicken does not include all the features from Jetpack Joyride – the mechanical dragon or the S.A.M robot. the chicken will not be saved from instant frying in the event of a collision with an obstacle.

You can install Jetpack Joychicken on Counter-Strike 2 through the Steam Workshop. Refinement of the mode continues: in today’s patch Lillykyu fixed errors and added new elements (traps, backgrounds, sounds).

Users were delighted with the new work, and some still cannot come to terms with reality: “I refuse to believe that this is CS2.” In the future, Lillykyu also plans to transfer the gameplay of the mobile game Subway Surfers into a shooter.
