There are only a few days left before the release of the Jedi action game Star Wars Jedi: Survivor on PS4 and Xbox One, and players were finally able to evaluate how the Electronic Arts and Respawn Entertainment project looks on one of the last generation consoles.
Let us remember that EA confirmed the versions of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor for PS4 and Xbox One last summer, but even after announcing the release date in August of this year, it was in no hurry to demonstrate the gameplay.
Remembering the difficulties of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor on the more powerful PS5, Xbox Series X and S, gamers were skeptical about the release. EA promised numerous optimization improvements and it looks like they didn’t disappoint.
Foreign portals like IGN and Kotaku published a five-minute video sent to them by EA with a cut of gameplay scenes (no spoilers) from Star Wars Jedi: Survivor on PS4 Pro.
Users were impressed by what they saw: even on a previous generation console, the game looks and works more than decently. “Looks very good on PS4 Pro. We don’t need PS5 Pro,” iyedsenpai insists.
On all four legacy console models, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor will run at 30 fps. The resolution will be different:
- Xbox One X — 1440p;
- PS4 Pro — 1080p;
- PS4 – 900p;
- Xbox One – 720p (whatever lengths you will go to for a stable frame rate).
Star Wars Jedi: Survivor for PS4 and Xbox One will be available on September 17th for $50. Thanks to a future patch, players will be able to transfer saves between PS4 and PS5.
