The latest addition to Remnant 2 has finally received a release date – a trailer for The Dark Horizon and a new free mode

Publisher Arc Games (formerly Gearbox Publishing) and developers from the studio Gunfire Games announced the release date of the third addition to the cooperative action role-playing game Remnant 2. Along with the addon, the game will receive a new mode.

As it became known, The Dark Horizon expansion, which will be the last for Remnant 2, will go on sale on September 24 at a price of 1,440 rubles. Owners of the Ultimate Edition will receive the DLC for free.

The events of The Dark Horizon will unfold on an alien terrain frozen in time, inhabited by robots out of control. Players will have to uncover the secrets of N’erud and the giant entity hovering above him.

They promise a new storyline, unexplored dungeons and unprecedented threats, unfamiliar allies, the ability to move on gliders, powerful equipment, and the “Overseer” class.

As for free updates, a major content patch will be released on the same day as The Dark Horizon for Remnant 2 with gameplay improvements, prism mechanics and a Boss Rush mode (activated on the World Stone in Block 13).

«Boss Rush will feature sequential boss battles: three (Triple Threat difficulty level), seven (Trial by Fire) and nineteen (Obstacle Course). You can play alone or online.

Remnant 2 debuted in July 2023 on PC (Steam, Epic Games Store), PS5, Xbox Series X and S. On Steam, the game received more than 53 thousand “very positive” reviews. By last September, sales of the project exceeded 2 million copies.
