Pickles, who joined the company in 2014, said he decided to leave several months ago. He also added that he had worked on this issue with X CEO Linda Yaccarino.

«After ten years of work, tomorrow will be my last day at X. It has been an incredible adventure,” the source quotes Pickles as saying. He did not say about his future plans and reasons for leaving X. Company officials and Pickles himself refrain from commenting on this issue.

Pickles joined X as a senior manager in the company’s London office. In 2023, he was appointed head of government relations, after which he held several positions. According to the source, Pickles represented the company in disputes with governments of various countries, including Brazil, where access to the social network for users was suspended several days ago.

In June of this year, X’s head of business operations and communications, Joe Benarroch, left X due to tensions with Elon Musk, who demanded more revenue and lower costs. From then on, Benarroch’s duties were assigned to Pickles.
