RedMagic has introduced the Gaming Tablet Pro gaming tablet. This is the first tablet to receive the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Leading Version processor – an overclocked version of the standard Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. Previously, the RedMagic 9S Pro smartphone on the same chip topped the ranking of the most productive smartphones according to the AnTuTu benchmark.
Like the RedMagic 9S Pro smartphone, the Gaming Tablet Pro is equipped with an active cooling system. In addition to the fan, it includes a large copper heat pipe. Everything is done to ensure that the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Leading Version does not overheat under load.
The device offers a 10.9-inch screen with a 16:10 aspect ratio, 144GHz refresh rate, 840Hz sensor refresh rate, and a resolution of 2880×1800 pixels.
Autonomy of the new product is provided by a battery with a capacity of 10,100 mAh. The manufacturer promises up to 10 hours of device operation on a single battery charge. The RedMagic Gaming Tablet Pro comes with a 120W charger. The tablet battery is charged to 50% in 15 minutes. A full charge takes 45 minutes.
The tablet is equipped with four speakers, three microphones, a 50-megapixel camera based on the Samsung S5KJN1 sensor located on the back side, a 20-megapixel selfie camera based on the OmniVision OV20B40 sensor, as well as two vibration motors for feedback in games. The tablet supports Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.4.
In China, the new product will go on sale from September 11. In other markets, the device will be released under the name Nova Gaming Tablet and will be available on September 27. The basic configuration of the RedMagic Gaming Tablet Pro with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage costs ¥3999 (about $564). The maximum configuration with 24 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 1 TB of UFS 4.0 storage is estimated at ¥5599 (about $789).
