SteamDB has published a list of games that brought in the most revenue on Steam between August 27 and September 3. The top ten includes three new titles, including a re-release of the classic real-time strategy Age of Mythology.
The official release of Age of Mythology: Retold will take place on September 4, but access to the game opened for buyers of the premium edition on August 28. The latter, according to PlayTracker, numbered more than 100 thousand. The new version took ninth place and collected almost 3.5 thousand reviews, based on which its rating is 92%.
The Seekers of the Storm add-on to the roguelike shooter Risk of Rain 2 launched three lines higher, thanks to which the main game soared to fourth position and updated the personal online record (75,406 users). However, buyers were disappointed: the DLC had “mostly negative” reviews (20% based on 7.6 thousand ratings). First of all, gamers are dissatisfied with serious technical problems, which they blame on the new priorities of the authors: recently Hopoo Games announced that part of the team was joining Valve and “freezing” the next project.
In eighth place, the slasher Gundam Breaker 4 debuted – “the dawn of a new era” of the series from Crafts & Meister and Bandai Namco. Dynamic combat with a new dual weapon system and deep customization earned it “very positive” reviews (80% based on 1.4 thousand reviews). At its peak, the number of concurrent users reached 27,110.
