Gigabyte has introduced a total of eight new motherboards for Ryzen 9000 processors based on the latest AMD X870E and X870 chipsets as part of its Aorus, Gaming and Eagle series.
Among the new products presented there are both flagship solutions and simpler models:
- X870E Aorus Master;
- X870 Aorus Elite WiFi 7;
- X870E Aorus PRO ICE;
- X870E Aorus PRO;
- X870E Aorus Elite WiFi 7 ICE;
- X870 Aorus Elite WiFi 7 (1.x);
- X870 Gaming X WiFi 7;
- X870 Eagle WiFi 7.
Gigabyte Aorus Elite boards belong to the lower end of the mid-range solution segment, while Aorus Pro models are at the upper end of the mid-price segment. The X870E Aorus Master model is a flagship solution and is primarily aimed at overclockers. The X870E Eagle WiFi 7 and X870 Gaming X WiFi 7 represent the most affordable solutions based on the latest generation of AMD’s flagship chipsets.
The company quietly added the X870E Eagle WiFi 7 model to its website two days ago. The board has an 18-phase VRM power subsystem and supports DDR5 RAM up to 8000 MHz. The X870 Aorus Elite WiFi 7 (1.x) model is equipped with a 20-phase VRM power subsystem, mechanisms for quick installation of NVMe drives and video cards. X870E Aorus Elite WiFi 7 is its improved version, with more external connectors. In addition, it is equipped with RGB lighting on the rear panel of connectors.
The X870 Aorus Elite WiFi 7 ICE is essentially a copy of the X870 Aorus Elite WiFi 7 (1.x), but comes in white. The same applies to the X870E Aorus PRO model and its white version X870E Aorus PRO ICE. Both boards have 20-phase VRM power subsystems with 16+2+2 phase schemes, and also offer support for DDR5 memory and PCIe 5.0 interface for the video card and NVMe drives.
The X870E Aorus Master model is the most sophisticated among the new products presented. It received a 20-phase VRM power subsystem, massive cooling, many external connectors, and Zone AORUS Lighting for the I/O panel. The presented boards will go on sale starting September 30.
