Following the publication of the new trailer, the developers from Saber Interactive answered the remaining questions from players in their monthly message before the imminent release of the third-person shooter Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2.

As it became known, the PC version of Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 will be released without Denuvo, Steam Deck support (it is in the works) and mods (it is not planned), ray tracing, HDR, Nvidia DLSS 3 or AMD FSR 3 (at launch there will be DLSS 2 and FSR 2).

As for consoles, the game will run at 4K resolution and 30 fps in quality mode (1440p and 30 fps on Xbox Series S), and up to 60 fps in performance mode (PS5 and Xbox Series X only). s at 1080p.

The developers also clarified several points related to the network component (see the previous collection of questions and answers for the full picture):

  • Cross-platform saves work through the Prism Ray Online Services platform;
  • Cross-play (can be disabled in the settings) is available between all platforms in the story campaign and PvE, and in PvP, PC players will fight separately from console players;
  • Playing over a local network is not supported;
  • The PC version at launch will be equipped with the Easy Anti Cheat anti-cheat;
  • A squad in PvE mode must include space marines of different classes, while in PvP the restriction is more lenient – a maximum of two players of the same class per team;
  • There will be no friendly fire in any of the three main modes (campaign, PvE, PvP);
  • To communicate, players will be able to use voice chat, a pre-recorded message wheel, and (PC only) text chat.

At launch, Space Marine 2 will offer support for the DualSense controller (non-haptic feedback), accessibility settings (adjustable subtitle size, three color blindness modes) and the ability to turn off almost all interface elements.

Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 will be released on September 9 at 19:00 Moscow time on PC (Steam), PS5, Xbox Series X and S. Buyers of premium editions will start playing on the 5th. The other day, the authors revealed the system requirements and development plan for the game.
