The first mentions of this appeared back in 2019, and the last time information about testing appeared was in March of this year. The company has yet to make any official announcements about when the new feature will launch or what devices it will be available on, which means it’s likely that the limitations on the number of simultaneous downloads and installations are related to processing on the Play Store server side rather than on the client side .

If the download and installation start at the same time, then Google Play has already received the update. It is noted that the function is especially useful for users who are setting up new devices or restoring data from a backup.
