Server power in a desktop package – HYPERPC has built a powerful workstation with 6 TB of RAM

HYPERPC specialists implemented a unique project – they created a super-powerful workstation for interacting with neural networks, large language models (LLM) and big data. The new product has the power of industrial solutions, but is housed in a compact body.

Until recently, it was only possible to fully work with large professional neural networks and LLMs using industrial solutions. They allow you to use gigantic amounts of RAM, which is necessary for deep learning of neural networks. One of the requirements for such tasks is to keep the data array in RAM to ensure high-speed operation.

At the beginning of 2024, one of HYPERPC’s clients contacted the company’s office in Dubai with a proposal to create an ultimate solution based on a workstation with the maximum possible amount of memory, server processors and two professional video cards. The system should provide comfortable, fast and stable work with neural networks and LLM, including deep learning.

During the implementation of the project, HYPERPC specialists carried out a lot of work on designing the workstation, developing the architecture, and selecting components with ideal compatibility. All this was necessary not only for the implementation of the project, but also to guarantee stable operation under prolonged extreme loads.

All the efforts of the HYPERPC team were justified, and the result exceeded expectations – an unprecedented solution was created based on HYPERPC G10 PRO HYDRA, capable of providing outstanding performance when working with neural networks, LLM and big data. At the same time, the system has characteristics that until recently were considered fantastic for a desktop solution:

  • Two AMD EPYC 9754 server processors with 128 cores and 256 threads each, and a frequency of 2.25–3.1 GHz;
  • 6 TB of high-performance RAM in the form of 256 GB Hynix DDR5-4800 modules;
  • Two NVIDIA RTX 6000 ADA Generation video cards, each with 18,176 CUDA cores and 48 GB of GDDR6 memory;
  • Four ultra-fast SSD Sabrent Rocket 4 Plus, 8 TB each, with a total capacity of 32 TB.

Separately, the manufacturer notes a custom liquid cooling system, which ensures effective heat removal from all components regardless of load and operating mode, including 24/7 operation.

The described configuration made it possible to completely solve the problem and fulfill all the requirements for a desktop workstation for deep learning of neural networks, effective work with big data and LLM.

The HYPERPC G10 PRO HYDRA workstation is a professional victory for HYPERPC experts and a true computing monster that provides incredible comfort and ultimate reliability in solving the most complex problems.
