Motorola has unveiled the mid-range Edge 50 Neo smartphone and also announced the global launch of the Edge 50 smartphone, launched earlier this month in select markets. The new product stands out with its bright design and shock-proof case.
For the new Edge 50 Neo, the manufacturer claims IP68 water and dust protection, as well as MIL-STD 810H certification, indicating protection against drops and shocks. The device with dimensions of 154.1 × 71.2 × 8.1 mm is equipped with a 6.4-inch LTPO OLED display with a resolution of 2760 × 1256 pixels, a refresh rate of 120 Hz and a brightness of 3000 cd/m2. The screen is protected by Gorilla Glass 3.
Unlike the Edge 50, which is available with a faux leather and faux suede back cover, the Edge 50 Neo is only available with a faux leather back cover. The device will be offered in Sea Blue, Latte, Grisaille and Poinciana colors.
The Motorola Edge 50 Neo is powered by a 4nm MediaTek Dimensity 7300 processor (four Cortex-A78 cores with a frequency of 2.5 GHz, four Cortex-A55 with a frequency of 2.0 GHz). The device will offer 8 or 12 GB of RAM, as well as 256 or 512 GB of permanent memory.
Autonomy of the new product will be provided by a 4310 mAh battery with support for wired charging with a power of 68 W and wireless charging with a power of 15 W. The power supply is supplied with the smartphone, and it matches the color of the device itself.
As for the Edge 50 model, the device was previously released in India and Mexico. The manufacturer said that the smartphone will soon appear in other markets. It has the same set of cameras as the Edge 50 Neo, IP68 protection and MIL-STD 810H, but is equipped with a larger battery and a larger display.
The Edge 50 offers a 6.7-inch 120Hz OLED display with Gorilla Glass 5 protection, and a 5,000mAh battery with support for 68W wired charging and 15W wireless charging. The device is powered by a Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 Accelerated Edition processor, 8 or 12 GB of RAM, and 256 or 512 GB of permanent memory.
The Motorola Edge 50 Neo goes on sale in select European markets starting today. The price of the smartphone starts from €499. In the coming weeks, the new product will appear in some countries in Asia, Latin America and Oceania.
