AMD has released a new graphics driver package, Radeon Software Adrenalin 24.8.1 WHQL. It adds open beta support for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, Concord, Star Wars Outlaws and Final Fantasy XVI.
The company also added support for Amuse 2.1 for Radeon RX 7000 video cards and integrated graphics for Ryzen AI 300, Ryzen 8040 and Ryzen 7040 processors. In addition, the new driver added support for the FLUX.1 model for Radeon RX 7900, Radeon Pro W7900 and Radeon Pro W7800 video cards .
List of fixed issues:
- Fixed an issue with periodic crashes in Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess on Radeon RX 6600 and RX 6700 video cards;
- Fixed problems with periodic crashes and driver timeouts in Pacific Drive and Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 + 2.5 ReMIX;
- Fixed an issue where anti-aliasing and anisotropic filtering settings from AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition might not be applied correctly to OpenGL applications.
- Fixed a problem with excessive memory consumption in certain versions of Minecraft Java Edition;
- Improved performance of the shader optimization algorithm during the initial launch of Forza Motorsport.
Famous problems:
- Black Myth: Wukong may experience oversaturated shadows or colors when Global Illumination settings are set to Medium or higher. Users experiencing this issue can set the global illumination to “Low” as a temporary solution;
- Desynchronization of audio and video when recording using the AV1 codec through the image capture function in the AMD Software driver: Adrenalin Edition. The problem is planned to be fixed in Radeon driver version 24.9.2.
