Samsung has introduced new artificial intelligence-powered features for its home appliances. Owners of Family Hub refrigerators with touch screens will be able to generate unique wallpaper using a neural network. Samsung household appliances will also receive an updated Bixby voice assistant.

Owners of Family Hub refrigerators released in the US and South Korea after 2022 will be able to create unique wallpapers using AI. To do this, you need to choose one of seven themes and one of six artistic styles. The finished image can be installed on the refrigerator screen or saved in an album. Generation requires a Wi-Fi connection, and the number of wallpapers created is limited to five per day.
As for the improved Bixby voice assistant, we know that it will be available on select 2024 Bespoke devices, such as the Bespoke 4-Door refrigerator with AI Family Hub, Bespoke AI Laundry Combo washing machine and AI WindFree Gallery Freestanding air conditioner.
Bixby has learned to understand complex commands, remember previous conversations, and answer troubleshooting questions. For example, you can ask the AI to have the washing machine calculate the start time of the wash so that it finishes an hour before the set time (for example, the start time of dinner). You can also ask Bixby about error codes in your washing machine or why your refrigerator makes strange clicking noises.
