Midjourney CEO David Holz said on Discord that anyone can now open the service’s website and start generating images. The free demo version of the platform allows you to create up to 25 images.

Previously, to access the Midjourney generator it was necessary to use the Discord messenger. It was not easy because we had to write requests in a special way. To attract users who did not like Discord, the platform’s website was launched, but only those who created at least 10,000 images through the messenger were allowed to work in the web interface. Now the Midjourney website is open to everyone. To register, you will need an account on Google or Discord – holders of accounts on both platforms can connect them to one account in Midjourney and log in through any of the two.

Once logged in, a set of basic tools is available in the left sidebar. You can familiarize yourself with images created based on requests from other users or try to generate an image yourself after watching a tutorial video. At the top of the page there is a field for entering a request, in response to which Midjourney will offer four images – the quality of the most successful one can be adjusted using special tools: reduce, enlarge the picture or adjust the angle. There is also an image editor where you can adjust the request, change certain areas of the image, select a different aspect ratio and add new elements.

There is a section where all user-created images are collected. A picture from the collection can be viewed, edited, copied or downloaded. The site offers chat rooms where you can see what other people have created or post your own image. Once the limit of 25 images is exhausted, Midjourney will offer to subscribe to one of four tariff plans – they differ in prices and quotas for the number of images.
