The recently announced zombie action game Dying Light: The Beast from Techland will be available for free to owners of the complete (Ultimate) edition of Dying Light 2 Stay Human, but the generosity of the developers was not limitless.
Techland planned to release two addons for Dying Light 2, but the second one “mutated” into a separate game. Buyers of the Ultimate edition, which promised access to both DLCs, will not have to pay for it, but the promotion will not last long.
The developers announced that on September 30 they will remove the complete edition of Dying Light 2 from sale on all platforms. On the same day, the opportunity to upgrade your version to Ultimate for money will also disappear from digital stores.
Players who already own Ultimate and purchase or upgrade to the edition ahead of September 30th will not be affected by the change – these users will receive a copy of Dying Light: The Beast for free.
The decision was dictated by the growing scale of The Beast – now it is a complete game, and not just DLC. At the same time, Techland will keep its promise to those who have long supported it, and will not charge Ultimate owners a penny for the “Beast.”
According to the plot, Kyle Crane – the hero of Dying Light – after 13 years of cruel experiments on him, he broke free and is ready to take revenge. Helping him in this will be the zombie DNA fused with his own, allowing the hero to awaken animal power.
Dying Light: The Beast is being created for PC (Steam, EGS), PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and S. They promise an exciting adventure in the countryside, an SUV as a means of transportation, co-op for four and more than 18 hours of content.
