Based on Mars Attacks, a simulator of the Mars Attracts amusement park will be released, where you have to kidnap people for the amusement of the Martians

At the Future Games Show presentation, the independent Irish studio Outlier Games announced Mars Attracts, an amusement park simulator in the sci-fi universe of Mars Attacks.

Mars Attracts players will take on the role of the manager of an amusement park on Mars who strives to create the perfect (and possibly profitable) tourist attraction.

With the help of advanced Martian technologies, you will have to kidnap people from different periods of history (from Ancient Rome to the Wild West), place them in personalized enclosures and deal with fugitives.

According to the developers, Mars Attracts combines the rich and deep gameplay of simulations like Roller Coaster Tycoon, Theme Hospital and Zoo Tycoon with a Mars Attacks-inspired retro-futurism aesthetic and dark humor.

The announcement of Mars Attracts was accompanied by a cinematic trailer (attached below). Outlier Games also published some gameplay screenshots. A demo version of the project was presented at gamescom 2024.

Development of Mars Attracts began in 2023. The start of early access is expected during 2025, and a full release is planned for 2026. The game already has a page on Steam.

Mars Attracts is the first official Mars Attacks game. The franchise is primarily known for the 1996 film of the same name, but it started back in 1962 with a series of trading cards from the Topps company.
