Google Gemini can now help you finalize drafts in Gmail

Google has updated the Gemini artificial intelligence system tools in Gmail – now AI will help in finalizing draft letters that the user has already written. The “Writing Help”, “Formalization” and “Clarification” functions present in Gmail have now been supplemented with the “Polish” option.

To make it more obvious to users that new features are available, Google has added shortcuts to them directly in the body of the email in the Android and iOS apps. The tools are only available to Google One AI Premium subscribers and those who have paid for the Gemini add-on in Workspace. When going to write a letter, these users will see a “Writing Help” shortcut, which, when clicked, Gemini writes a draft itself. When a draft reaches more than 12 words, a link to the new Refine my draft feature appears in gray letters below the main text.

You can also swipe your thumb over the text, and the system will offer the choice of “Edit”, “Formalize”, “Add” or, conversely, “Reduce”. Gemini can completely rewrite the draft. If the Edit My Draft shortcut doesn’t appear, this feature is also available by clicking the pencil icon button.
