At Gamescom 2024, Asus unveiled the ROG Rapture GT-BE19000 and RT-BE86U routers, as well as the ROG USB-BE92 USB client adapter, all of which support Wi-Fi 7 and reflect the company’s commitment to delivering cutting-edge products.
Full support for Wi-Fi 7 in Windows 11 will arrive a little later, and the new Asus ROG Rapture GT-BE19000 router will help unlock the potential of the wireless protocol in the gaming field – it offers speeds up to 2.4 times faster than the previous standard, as well as an increased range coverage by up to 73%. The router creates 320 MHz wide wireless communication channels in the 6 GHz band with MLO (Multi-Link Operation) and improved 4096-QAM modulation – thanks to these measures, Wi-Fi 7 provides it with speeds of up to 19 Gbps.
The device detects WAN connections on 2.5G or 10G Ethernet ports using artificial intelligence; Supports connection of 4G LTE and 5G mobile modems via USB. Guest Network Pro technology allows you to set up to five SSIDs, configure IoT devices, VPN and parental controls. There is support for Triple-Level Game Acceleration – this solution gives priority to game packages; Security is ensured by the AiProtection Pro solution based on Trend Micro technologies.
The Asus RT-BE86U Wi-Fi 7 router has a dual-band throughput of 6800 Mbps with support for MLO and 4096-QAM. The device has one 10G and four 2.5G Ethernet ports; it also supports AI WAN and 4G LTE/5G mobile modem connectivity. The router is powered by a quad-core processor with a clock frequency of 2.6 GHz, which allows it to support resource-intensive applications; Guest Network Pro, AiProtection Pro and VPN are supported.
And so that owners of desktop PCs and laptops that do not support the new standard can take advantage of Wi-Fi 7, Asus has released a tri-band ROG USB-BE92 adapter – it is compatible with all standard Wi-Fi networks and offers speeds of up to 6500 Mbps. There is support for WPA3, and you can connect the device to computers running Windows 10 and 11 via either USB Type-A or USB 3.2 Gen 1×1 Type-C.
