ViewSonic introduced the XG26 series gaming monitors: 25-inch XG2536 with 1080p/280 Hz and 27-inch XG2736-2K with 1440p/240 Hz

ViewSonic has introduced two gaming monitors from the new XG36 series – the 24.5-inch XG2536 and the 27-inch XG2736-2K. Both new products use IPS matrices.

The ViewSonic XG2536 model claims to use a matrix with support for 8-bit (6 bit + FRC) color depth. The new product operates with Full HD resolution (1920 × 1080 pixels), a refresh rate of 280 Hz, a response speed of 0.5 ms (MPRT) and a brightness of 300 cd/m2.

The monitor claims 72 percent coverage of the NTSC color space and 104 percent sRGB. It also includes support for AMD FreeSync Premium image synchronization technology and the presence of an ergonomic stand with the ability to adjust the height of the screen above the table, as well as the angles of rotation and tilt.

The ViewSonic XG2536 monitor is equipped with USB 3.2 Type-C with alternative DisplayPort and 65 W charging functions, one DisplayPort 1.4, two HDMI 2.0 and a 3.5 mm audio output. The new product also received two built-in speakers with a power of 2 W each.

The ViewSonic XG2736-2K model received a 27-inch 10-bit (8 bit + FRC) matrix with support for a resolution of 2560 × 1440 pixels and a refresh rate of 240 Hz. Typical screen brightness is 300 cd/m2. Response speed: 0.5 ms (MPRT). The monitor claims to support FreeSync technologies via the HDMI connector and FreeSync Premium via DP/Type-C. The display is rated at 92 percent NTSC color space coverage and 130 percent sRGB (99 percent typical).

The ViewSonic XG2736-2K monitor has two HDMI 2.1 connectors. Otherwise, its equipment is identical to the ViewSonic XG2536 model.

The manufacturer does not disclose the cost of the monitors. It is also unknown when they will go on sale.
