ASUS has introduced the N97T-IM-A motherboard, designed for use in embedded systems and industrial devices. The product is made in the Thin mini-ITX form factor, so it can be installed in compact cases of small thickness.
The Intel Alder Lake-N hardware platform with N97 chip (four cores; up to 3.6 GHz; 12 W) is used. One SO-DIMM slot is available for a DDR5-4800 module with a capacity of up to 16 GB. Drives can be connected to two SATA-3 ports. In addition, there is an M.2 Key-M connector for SSDs with a SATA 3.0 or PCIe x2 interface.
The board has dimensions of 170×170 mm. It is equipped with a dual-port 1GbE network controller based on Reaktek RTL8111H, a PCIe 3.0/2.0 x1 expansion slot, an M.2 E-key 2230 connector (PCIe x1; USB 2.0; CNVI) for a Wi-Fi/Bluetooth adapter and a Realtek ALC897 audio codec.
Image output is possible via interfaces HDMI 2.0 (up to 4096×2160 pixels; 60 Hz), DP++ 1.2 (up to 4096×2160 pixels; 60 Hz), LVDS (1920×1200 pixels; 60 Hz), DP++ 1.4 (up to 4096×2160 pixels ; 60 Hz) and eDP (4096×2160 pixels; 60 Hz). In addition, four RS232 serial ports can be used.
The connector block contains two USB 3.2 Gen1 and USB 2.0 ports, two RJ-45 jacks for network cables, a 3.5 mm audio jack, HDMI and DP connectors, as well as a power supply jack (9–36 V). The operating temperature range extends from 0 to +60 °C. A passive cooling system with a large radiator is used. It talks about compatibility with Windows 10, Windows IoT Enterprise and Linux.
