Asus has prepared a set of Socket AM5 boards for the X870E and X870: ROG Crosshair, ROG Strix and others

Asus published on social network X a teaser image of new generation motherboards based on AMD X870E and X870 chipsets, designed for AM5 processors, including the Ryzen 9000 series. A full presentation of the boards is scheduled for August 20, possibly at Gamescom.

There are five motherboards in the image. On the left you can see the TUF Gaming designation; the one in the center features Crosshair HERO branding for enthusiasts; the right one possibly belongs to the ROG Strix series; the top one is probably for the budget Prime series; and the design of the bottom indicates that it belongs to the ProArt series. These five series in the Asus range have already survived several generations, and with the advent of the X870E and X870 chipsets, they will receive new features to optimize for processors.

In July, the company announced two motherboards based on the X870E chipset – models of the TUF and ROG Maximus series received the Heavy Load Dynamic CO Stabilizer and All Core Safe CO Svalue to Switch to functions. The first, at high load, allows you to switch from OC to PBO mode; the second, under high load, switches voltage curves via Curve Optimizer.

Asus motherboards based on the X870 and X870E chipsets for AM5 chips will help more fully unleash the potential of AMD Ryzen 9000 processors compared to the X670 and X670E chipsets. So far, new generation processors have to be installed on the X670/X670E and B650/B650E boards, but the X870/X870E is on the way – new generation boards from AMD partners are expected to go on sale in September. Earlier at Computex 2024, ASRock unveiled its range of X870 and X870E motherboards, followed shortly by MSI. No manufacturer has announced prices yet, but new AMD processors are already on sale, so you won’t have to wait long.
