Tesla is definitely stepping up its efforts to market its Cybertruck electric pickups as the initial hype has subsided and there are fewer and fewer people willing to shell out at least $100,000 for a vehicle with two or three electric motors. The Tesla online store has started accepting orders for a portable refrigerator for the luggage compartment of the Cybertruck, which is estimated at $700.
As you know, the role of a separate trunk in the Cybertruck pickup is played by a small compartment in the front of the car, equipped with an electric lid. It is in this space that Tesla proposes to install a design-matched, angular, thermally insulated box that can hold up to 90 cans of drinks. The manufacturer sparingly describes the characteristics of the accessory, indicating only its capacity in liters (53), weight (14 kg) and overall dimensions (965 × 406 × 318 mm).
There’s no word on the actual cooling capacity of this accessory, but Tesla explains that the device can keep contents cool for several days. There are removable partitions inside to organize the space. As an example of use, the advertising image shows the option of filling the box with ice and bottles of Tesla’s signature low-alcohol drink. To order a refrigerator, you must be the registered owner of an electric vehicle of this brand.
