Popular Weibo social media account WHYLAB posted photos of Richard Yu using a foldable smartphone with a triple screen, holding it in his hands when folded. Judging by the photos, the thickness is comparable to regular folding smartphones, but it may be even thinner than the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 and earlier models, writes Android Authority.

A key feature of the new device is the presence of two hinges that allow you to fold the smartphone twice. This engineering solution makes it possible to increase the size of the unfoldable screen to an impressive 10 inches, which significantly exceeds the display size of existing folding smartphones (7.6-8 inches) and may become a full replacement for large-screen tablets.

However, as Android Authority notes, there may be potential downsides to such an innovative design. These include the presence of two folds on the screen due to the use of two hinges, as well as increased component costs due to the larger display size and the additional hinge.

According to the well-known insider Digital Chat Station, the presentation of the device may take place in September. We can only wait for the official announcement from Huawei to find out all the details about the characteristics and capabilities of this smartphone.
