Developers from the GSC Game World studio, following a 35-minute presentation of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl also published a new trailer for their post-apocalyptic open-world shooter.
The five-minute video released on August 14 was called “World & Locations.” As you might expect, the video shows different areas of the Chernobyl exclusion zone where the events of the game will unfold.
The trailer contains excerpts of gameplay with the study of different areas (including those familiar from the original trilogy), animations of several types of weapons, intense sounds of the anomaly detector, and so on.
It is worth noting that many of the frames of the new video are taken from a recent gameplay demo of the game, but now you can look at them without comments from the developers and immerse yourself in the atmosphere they created.
Judging by reviews on YouTube, the mixture of old and new locations with the lack of voiceovers and high-quality sound design played for immersion. “The atmosphere is just off the charts,” said thesingleplayersquad.
Seamless open world S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl spans 60 km2 and includes 20 diverse regions. Each with a unique atmosphere, inhabitants, architecture and challenges.
As a result of the recent transfer, the release of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 is now expected not on September 5, but on November 20 this year. The game is being created for PC (Steam, GOG, EGS, Microsoft Store), Xbox Series X, S and Game Pass.
