XFX has announced the release of a new video card based on the AMD Radeon RX 7800 XT processor, which is called the Speedster SWFT 210, VideoCardz reports. This is the seventh model in the RX 7800 XT line, which has grown to such an extent that it outnumbers all XFX variants of the RX 7900 XT and 7900 XTX combined, emphasizing the manufacturer’s special relationship with this series of video cards.
Despite the new name, the Speedster SWFT 210 retains the standard features of the original RX 7800 XT. A special feature of the new product is a dual-fan cooling system, as indicated by the number “2” in the model name. Although the XFX naming system implies that the number “2” means a two-slot configuration and the “3” means a three-fan configuration, these numbers are not always related to the card’s dimensions. For example, the Speedster SWFT 210 is 28.3 cm long and 2.5 slots thick.
The Speedster SWFT 210 features the same GPU as the RX 7800 XT – Navi 32, which includes 3840 stream processors, 16GB of GDDR6 memory and a 256-bit memory bus. According to the manufacturer, clock frequencies will remain unchanged and will be 2124 MHz for games and 2430 MHz for Boost mode.
The release of the new model coincides with the upcoming anniversary of the launch of the RX 7800 XT series. At the same time, the market situation has changed over the past year. If initially the RX 7800 XT outperformed the RX 7700 XT in terms of price/performance ratio, now, after the official price reduction for the RX 7700 XT to $419, the competition between the models has intensified.
The XFX Radeon RX 7800 XT Speedster SWFT 210 has already appeared on the Newegg online store for $489, but it is not yet available for order as it is out of stock.
