The GamesRadar portal noticed that the final boss of the large-scale addition Shadow of the Erdtree to Elden Ring submitted to an ordinary goldfish. The material contains spoilers for the addon.
The hero of this story is the goldfish Tortellini, owned by streamer PointCrow – real name Eric Morino – and last summer he already “defeated” several bosses from the main Elden Ring campaign.
Morino connected the control of the Elden Ring character to Tortellini’s position in the fishbowl. To which part of the tank the fish brain brings the streamer’s pet, this is the action the hero will perform on the screen.
Thus, Tortellini was able to defeat Future Consort Radan, who serves as the final boss in Shadow of the Erdtree – certainly one of the most difficult opponents in the addon and Elden Ring as a whole.
Victory came to Tortellini at the end of the eight-hour stream. Several factors played in favor of the goldfish:
- First, PointCrow equipped Tortellini’s character with bleeding-inducing twin “Big Stars” (a club with three spiked balls at the striking end);
- Secondly, the hero Tortellini was dressed in heavy armor (greatly reduces damage received) and had passive health restoration;
- Thirdly, before each attempt, PointCrow activated useful bonuses for Tortellini, such as a temporary increase in damage caused;
- Fourthly, Tortellini himself did not disappoint – he did not retreat under the onslaught of the enemy, turned to the healing flask in time (sometimes several times in a row), and so on.
The moment of the goldfish’s triumph over Future Consort Radan is captured in the excerpt attached above. “Oh my God, he did it! It can’t be!” PointCrow couldn’t believe it when Tortellini did it.
Although Tortellini himself will likely never realize the true significance of his achievement, the PointCrow goldfish can rightfully be considered the best aquatic animal player in Elden Ring.
