Ford will release Bronco and Mustang electric bikes this year

Ford has announced plans to launch two new electric bikes inspired by the automaker’s most iconic brands, Bronco and Mustang, which will be developed in collaboration with bicycle company N Plus.

The Bronco electric bike will have a rugged design so that it can be used for riding in difficult terrain. According to the company, the bike will be equipped with a 750W in-wheel motor with 85Nm of torque, allowing you to tackle hills with ease. The electric bike will also receive a double suspension system GOAT (Goes Over Any Type of Terrain, moves on any type of terrain). The motorcycle-style saddle is another exclusive feature of the Bronco-branded e-bike. However, it will not have a throttle, which, as The Verge noted, is becoming increasingly popular among American e-bike users. The Bronco electric bike will be class 3, meaning it can reach speeds of up to 45 km/h. The model will receive a battery that provides a range of up to 60 miles (about 97 km) depending on the route, driving style and energy consumption. It will take up to 3.5 hours to charge.

As for the Mustang electric bike, it will be presented in two models. Both will have similar performance figures to the Bronco e-bike. In addition to the standard version of the Mustang electric bike, a limited edition Mustang 60th Anniversary Edition will be released, which will be available exclusively through Ford dealers. The handling of both models will emulate the “iconic sports car,” Ford said.

The Bronco e-bike will be equipped with 27.5 x 2.6-inch Pirelli Scorpion Enduro M hardwall tires, while the Mustang e-bike will get Pirelli Angel GT semi-slick tires. The electric bikes will also feature four-piston hydraulic brakes and color LCD displays to display real-time information about speed, battery charge and range.

You can pre-order the new items now with delivery at the end of the year. The Bronco ebike starts at $4,500 with a $350 surcharge for choosing a color other than the standard Area 51. The Mustang ebike starts at $4,000 with a similar option to choose a color other than the base carbon gray metallic.
