Arkane Studios co-founder Raphael Colantonio continues to tease players about the next project from his new studio WolfEye, which will release the role-playing western Weird West in 2022.
The day before, in his personal microblog, Colantonio said that in the next few days, together with the WolfEye Studios team, he plans to share new details of the game. The studio’s account also hints at an imminent teaser.
In his post, Colantonio also outlined the target audience for WolfEye Studios’ next project: “Fans of the first-person games I’ve worked on (Dishonored and Prey) will be happy.”
Under the post, Colantonio clarified that for now WolfEye Studios is demonstrating its mysterious project only to publishers and partners in the industry, and there are no plans for a show for the press and ordinary players (for example, at gamescom 2024) at this stage.
In March, WolfEye Studios brought a new game to the GDC 2024 conference to show it to publishers. Colantonio presented the project together with executive producer Julien Roby.
According to information released in March, WolfEye’s new project is a retrofuturistic first-person RPG. Development is being carried out with the support of the Galaxy Interactive Foundation, and the game will be “more ambitious” than the previous one.
WolfEye Studios’ debut game, Weird West, was released in March 2022 on PC, PS4 and Xbox One. The Western received between 73 and 81% on Metacritic, and earned “mostly positive” reviews on Steam (77% rating).
