In tablet mode, the ThinkBook Plus Gen5 Hybrid runs Android 13 operating system. It offers 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. The device is equipped with a 14-inch OLED touch screen with a resolution of 2.8K, has four speakers with a power of 1 W each and has two cameras: a 13-megapixel with a shutter on the front and a 5-megapixel on the back. In standalone mode, the ThinkBook Plus Gen5 Hybrid is powered by a 38 Wh battery. It also received support for Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3 and is equipped with a USB-C connector. In tablet mode, the device measures 313.5 x 224 x 6.6 mm and weighs 785 grams.

When you connect a special keyboard to the ThinkBook Plus Gen5 Hybrid, which itself is a separate computer, the device switches to laptop mode running the Windows 11 operating system. The keyboard unit is equipped with a 16-core Intel Core Ultra 7 155H from the Meteor Lake series with a frequency of up to 4 .8 GHz, which includes integrated Intel Arc graphics. The computer also received 32 GB of LPDDR5x-7467 RAM and a 1 TB PCIe 4.0 M.2 2280 solid-state drive.

Additionally, the keyboard unit has two Harman/Kardon speakers with a power of 2 W each, two USB-C ports (Thunderbolt 4) and one combined 3.5 audio output. This part of the device is equipped with its own 75 Wh battery and comes with a 100 W charger. The keyboard unit also claims to support Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.2. In laptop mode, the ThinkBook Plus Gen5 Hybrid measures 313.5 x 234.5 x 9.4 mm and weighs 970 grams.

ThinkBook Plus Gen5 Hybrid does not support cross-functional integration between the two operating systems. In other words, users need to log in to each of them separately. However, the device has a dedicated 10 GB of storage that can be used by two devices, for example, to store photos, which can be accessed in both tablet mode and Windows laptop mode.

ThinkBook Plus Gen5 goes on sale in China. The device costs 15,999 yuan (about $2,200).
