Samsung is gearing up to launch its flagship smartphone Galaxy S25, which is expected to be one of the most interesting devices of the next year. The latest leaks, as well as some confirmed information about the Galaxy S25’s specifications, point to significant improvements in the camera and display departments.
According to Sammobile, the Galaxy S25 will receive “major upgrades” in the photography department. It is expected that the Galaxy S25 Ultra will be equipped with a main camera with a resolution of 200 MP for better detail shots, including in low light conditions, a 50 MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom, a 50 MP telephoto lens with 5x optical zoom and an ultra-wide-angle 50 MP camera.
In addition, it is planned to introduce new image processing algorithms, which should also improve their quality. In particular, colors will become more saturated and noise levels will decrease. The camera specifications of the Galaxy S25 and Galaxy S25+ have not yet been revealed.
An equally significant improvement will be the display. The Galaxy S25 will feature next-generation OLED technology for brighter, more contrasting colors and improved visibility in bright outdoor environments. The display is expected to support a refresh rate of up to 120Hz for a smooth experience in games and videos, and HDR10+ for improved image realism and color gradation, allowing for high dynamic range.
Samsung MX Vice President Daniel Araujo emphasized that the phone will have the industry’s best processor and memory for improved AI performance. We are talking about the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chip with Oryon CPU cores from Qualcomm, which the company will announce in two months.
Araujo also noted that Samsung is working with Google to improve AI features. “Looking forward, we expect to be able to understand the context of messages to provide better AI experiences on our devices. To achieve this, we will strengthen our partnerships while developing our AI technologies further.”
